 Acacia baileyana

(Cootamundra Wattle)

Features: Silver/grey foliage. Purplish regrowth. Fluffy yellow flowers. Short lived only 10 years.

Form: Upright spreading tree to 4m.

Aspect: Full sun to part shade.

Soil: Tolerates poor well drained soils. Improves the soil as it fixes Nitrogen into the ground.

Growing: Flowers in Winter. Prune in Summer. Used to shelter other trees as they develop.

 

Elaeocarpus reticulatus
(Blueberry Ash)

Features: Salt tolerant. Attracts birds. Small white fringed bell flowers. Blue berries.

Form: Upright oval tree to 10m.

Aspect: Full sun to part shade.

Soil: Moist drained clay or sandy soils.

Growing: Flowers in late Spring. Fruit appears in Autumn. Feed in Spring. Prune in Winter.
